Very little is known about this vessel. It is believed to be Shadow in origin and was responsible for the Destruction of the Omega class Destroyer Cerebus in 2257.* This class vessel has hall the markings and design of a Shadow vessel. It has the black, bio-organic armor found on Shadow vessels and was armed with a Shadow type beam weapon rated at low-end output of between 6.9*10^17 and 1.0*10^18 joule* in a period of 2.3 seconds, according to footage released by the Technomage Galen.

Some elements of this class vessel's tactical capability were confirmed when Captain Mathew Gideon and the crew of the ISA Excalibur confronted a ship of this type in late 2267*. Excalibur succeeded in disabling the unknown Shadow vessel but it self-destructed before a boarding party could be dispatched to capture the vessel.*

Interstellar Alliance intelligence now believes that this ship may not have been a true Shadow vessel, but rather a Shadow Hybrid created by rogue elements within Earthforce using captured Shadow technology. Some of this information was confirmed by crewmembers of the ISA Excalibur but the truth of these matters were only known by ship's captain Mathew Gideon who, after an assassination attempt on Mars, was left in a coma.*
